Vaharsolt Balatkhanov
The famous Chechen painter Vaharsolt Balatkhanov was born in Pokroskom village of Dagestan’s Khasavyurt Region. He is a member of Akkiy tribal union (tukhum).
He was a participant artist at Annual Spring Exhibition of Artists’ Union of Finland in Helsinki, Finland during the years 2004-2009; joined to exhibitions on 1997-1998 in Grozny; joined to Chechen Artists’ Exhibition on 2002 in Moscow; joined to exhibition of Zamir Yushaev in Strasbourg,France on 2003; joined to Exhibition of Anna Lebedeva at Ripustus Gallery in Hameenlinna,Finland; joined to Exhibition of Union Artists of the City Museum Hameenlinna in Finland on 2005; opened a personal exhibition at Altshtadthof Gallery on 2008 in Berlin, Germany. In December 2009, he opened an exhibition at Ico Art and Music Gallery in New York, United States.
Vaharsolt Balatkhanov is married; have one daughter and one son. At the moment he lives in Finland.
