Protest Against Russia in Denmark
On August 7, 2009 in Copenhag, the group “Free Caucasus” held a rally related with the first annivesary of Russian agression against Georgia.
The rally started at 18.00 o’clock in front of the Russian Embassy in Copenhag, the capital of Denmark. The participants of the rally were from Georgia, Chechnya, Ingushetia, Dagestan and Azerbaijan. The protesters hold the posters about condemnation of Russian policy. Each of the protesters were holding a lit candle which was symbolising the casualties during Russian agression. Isa Munayev (Chechen), the Chairman of the Free Caucasus Group, his deputy Rusudan Giorgberidze (Georgian) and Ilyas Musayev, this group’s Head of Organizing Committe who is Ilyas Musayev (Chechen); the well known Georgian public figure Erekle Tsakadze, the Danish Proffessor Karl Erik Foverskov made some speech about the brutal Russian agression in Georgia in August 2008.
The participants called to international community for take active political steps against Russia and they chanted slogans during the rally as “Long Live Free Caucasus”, “Russia, Hands off to Georgia” and “Russian occupants Get Out from Caucasus”.
