The well-known Chechen singer Liza Umarova send an e-mail to editorial board of Ichkeria.info about the murder of his brother and asked the help on this issue.

The message of Liza Umarova:

On June 15, around 22.30 hours, German Umarov, born in 1967 and the brother of the famous Chechen singer Liza Umarova, was killed in Grozny, the capital of Chechnya.

Until 2005, German Umarov has lived in Novokuznetsk. In 2004, due an accident in Novokuznetsk his leg was amputated from his knee. Then her returned to his homeland. He was married and started to live in Grozny.

On the evening of June 15, around 10.30 p.m., when he was going back to his own house by walking from a family visiting, suddenly he was shot down at Kayama area 300 metres away from his house and died on the spot with 8 bullet injuries.

Everybody knew that German had no conflicts, quarrels or litigations with somebody. He was known as a respectful man and good Moslem. This brutal crime shocked to everybody who knows him.

His sister Liza Umarova cannot understand why it has happened, because she sings for goodness and mutual understanding at her songs; and also her songs are against the violence and war.

The investigators who lead the investigation belives that a conflict with someone might be the reason. The scene was very dark and anybody didn’t see it.

German left behind his 2 years old son. May God ease his soul and help to punishment of the guilties.

Let’s remind you, on September 6, 2005, Liza and her then-15 year-old son Murad were brutally beaten in Moscow on their way to the metro by four men, aged between 25 and 30.
