My Motherland

Chechnya, every trace that I leave on your earth,
I wish to transform into the nourishment for your roads.
My body with every year dreams to become weightless,
Not to harm you with its heaviness.

Who succeeded to make ablution from your waterfall;
Be him deaf, can hear the sound of your silence.
I need your wind, to hug it like a kitten.
I need your hailstones to grid them in the heart mill.

I wish to throw into the stove of my breast a log of your sun,
And in summer – let your healer-rain prick injections into my head.
And in autumn I wish to string soul beads on a crane thread,
And in winter I wish to make of grey-haired yarn of your clouds the laces for songs.

You always share with me your sinless property,
Knowing, that I do not scatter in vain your expensive gifts.
I erect walls of happiness from the white marble of your Moon,
I pave roads with gravel of your stars, it leads to my beloved.

When the death crawls near, like a wolf, and turns off my brain,
Know! That I will be among those, who wish to own:
Cords of your grass, to fasten a tomb neck,
White hands of your fog, to wash a sign on the churt*…

*.churt – tombstone
