Trial in Vienna Continues
The trial related to the murder of Umar Israilov in Vienna continues in Austria.
On the second day of the murder trial in Vienna, Otto Kaltenbrunner denied that on the eve of the murder, he conspired to murder with Dadayev and Bogatirov in an auto repair shop in the town of Zollenau (Province of Lower Austria) near Vienna. Kaltenbrunner claimed that he actually went there by car, along with Suleiman Dadayev and Lecha Bogatirov, but he did not leave the car. According to him, only Dadayev and Bogatirov went to the shop to deal with a fellow countryman over a dispute about a woman. Kaltenbrunner said, loud cries were heard from there and he saw a lot of people. However, he thought maybe he just dreamed it all, because he drank a lot earlier.
On Friday November 19, the third day of the trial, Judge Friedrich Forsthuber instructed Rudolf Mayer, lawyer for the Russian terrorist Kaltenbrunner, to find out whether Kadyrov was ready to answer questions for the court about the murder of Israilov via video conference. “That would give us a clear impression, which could not be achieved through mutual legal assistance with the Russian Federation,” said the judge. Prior to that, Mr. Mayer demanded that the puppet Kadyrov appear at the trial in Vienna, in person. During his questioning, the charged Kadyrovite, Otto Kaltenbrunner, said that he has known Kadyrov since 1998 and that he had a “personal, very good, friendly and close relationship” with Putin’s lover in Chechnya.
Meanwhile, on Friday the third hearing of the accused Turpal-Ali Yesherkayev was completed. “I am not guilty. I was taken,” said Turpal Ali Yesherkayev. He said that on January 13th, 2009 he was asked to go to Vienna: “I was given no explanation, there was to be no debate.” He said that he did not know Israilov, he did not carry any weapon, he did not shoot anyone and he was totally surprised when he saw a pistol in the hands of Lecha, after he apparently fired at Umar Israilov.
Eduard Steiner, a correspondent from the Austrian newspaper Die Presse, phoned the terrorist Kadyrov’s lawyer, Andrei Krasnenkov, in Moscow on November 19th, to find out if his client was looking for an opportunity to talk about his crimes, or to defend himself, during a video conference with Austrian Judge Forsthuber in connection with the trial. Kadyrov’s lawyer said: “I’m 99% ruling out that Kadyrov participates in a video conference with the judge. Only God can make a 100% claim. And a visit by Kadyrov to Vienna is absolutely ruled out. The Vienna trial is a show, a farce and a lie”.
On November 22nd, on the 4th day of the trial of the second defendant, Suleiman Dadayev, the defendant was questioned in detail. The 36-year-old suspect said that he thinks differently than the main defendant Otto Kaltenbrunner, who, according to the charges, planned the abduction and murder of Israilov under the orders of Kadyrov. While Otto Kaltenbrunner described himself as a good personal friend of Kadyrov with a “close friendship” with him, Suleiman Dadaev called Kadyrov “a national traitor”. Further he said: “I personally have antipathy towards him”. Asked why he had contact with Otto Kaltenbrunner, despite the obvious difference in political beliefs, Suleiman Dadayev immediately found an answer: “Until last week, I did not know that he was a supporter of Kadyrov”.
The procedure, which was originally due to come to an end in late November, seems to be heading toward finalization in January 2011.
However, the German newspaper Die Welt published a long interview with the puppet Kadyrov with a title to the extent of, “We are good at eliminating our enemies”. Putin’s puppet Kadyrov said, “I absolutely have no relation to the events in Austria. This is well known by those who spread lies. By mentioning the name Kadyrov, they are engaged in their PR campaign. As for Pilz’s accusations that my death squads operate in Europe, I have never heard anything more absurd. If Pilz knows about them, he must report them to security authorities. As the head of Chechnya, I urge Chechens not to believe this propaganda. We are gathering people. And there are no threats to anybody, if his conscience is clean”. Also, Kadyrov once again expressed his love for Putin. “I am committed to this man, for he has saved the people of Chechnya. When my father died, when I was very young and inexperienced, he gave me the opportunity to continue the fight. He trusted me. That is why I love him in a very male way. I admire him very much. He has a male character, has the best human qualities. How can you not admire a man who serves Russia 24 hours a day and even more!” said Kadyrov.
On the other hand, the Russian TV channel Vesti, in one of its reports about the reconciliation of blood feud enemies in Chechnya, accidentally filmed the Umar Israilov’s killer, Lecha Bogatirov. The news on Vesti was filmed on September 13, 2010. Umar Israilov’s killer appears in the report 2 minutes and 46 seconds in. He is in military camouflage and wears a green skullcap on the left in the frame. We must recall that, according to the Austrian prosecutor, Lecha Bogatirov who shot Umar Israilov, managed to escape from Austria to Russian occupied Chechnya, where he was generously rewarded by the puppet Kadyrov for his “accomplished mission.”
