Chechen Child Killed by Garbage Truck

According to the Turkish news agency IHA, a 10-year old Chechen asylum seeker lost his life under a garbage truck, which was driving the wrong way in the Basaksehir district of Istanbul.

On the morning of December 18th, 10-year old Adil Sadaev went to take a donation of meat to the Turkish humanitarian organization “Imkan-Der“. On his way home, a garbage truck with the plate number 34FY7620, which was moving fast and coming from the wrong way, hit him. The small child died at the scene.

The driver of the garbage truck, which is owned by Istanbul Basaksehir Municipality, was taken to the police station to record his testimony.

Adil Sadaev, along with his mother and three brothers had run away from the persecution in Chechnya and taken shelter in Turkey.
