Two Chechens Arrested on the Border of Belarussia
The Belarusian Telegraph Agency (BelTA) has reported that two Chechen men, who were trying to enter the Schengen zone, have been arrested on the border of Belorussia and Lithuania.
According to the report, border guards arrested two Chechen men 700 meters from the border in Smargon. The Chechens were headed to Lithuania, but a newly-installed integrated alarm and video surveillance system detected them, and the Lithuanian side was able to arrest them. A Belarusian citizen, who is a human smuggler, was also arrested.
