Spanish Foundation Searches for Volunteer Host Families

The Spanish foundation “La Fundación Integración y Solidaridad (FINSOL – The Foundation of Integration and Solidarity)” needs families from Madrid to host Chechen refugee children during the summer of 2011.

According to representatives of FINSOL, this year the foundation’s objective is to bring 40 Chechen children to spend their summer (July and August) with volunteer foster families. However, to achieve their aim, they need host families who are willing to spend a summer doing something different with their life and refreshing these refugee children who live in difficult conditions and have had terrible experiences.

For more information, you can reach the foundation via telephone (+34 91 506 66 25) or e-mail (finsol@hotmail.es).

FINSOL was established in 1997 and since then has organized “temporary take care programs” each year under the supervision of the Community of Madrid (la Comunidad de Madrid). So far, more than 800 refugee children have benefited from these programs.
