Chechen Days in Nancy
The Amnesty International Nancy and France Chechen Solidarity Association (l’association France-Tchétchénie Solidarité) are organizing events related to Chechen culture and human rights, between March 29th and April 7th in Nancy, France.
Here is the program of events:
Tuesday, March 29th – 19.00 at CCAM*:
Opening the exhibition is “Chechens Aboveground (Tchétchènes hors-sol)” by Maryvonne Arnaud. The exhibition consists of photos from Chechnya, Ingushetia, Turkey, and Poland. The photographer shows the living conditions of people in their homeland and in exile, and points to the memory of all recent events in their history. The exhibition may be visited from March 29th to April 23rd.
Wednesday, March 30th – 18.00 at CCAM:
Presentation of Mylène Sauloy’s documentary movies (free admission)
Saturday, April 2nd – 20.00 at CCAM:
Traditional Chechen dances and a concert with Amarbek Dimaev (accordion), Zaindi Hazanov (vocals), and Ensemble Laram (dancers).

Wednesday, April 6th – 20.00 at Science PO**:
Conference of Aude Merlin (from the University of Bruxelles) and Mairbek Vatchagaev (Chechen historian).
Thursday, April 7th – 20.00 at Cinema Caméo:
Presentation of Eric Bergkraut’s documentary movie “Letter to Anna”. A discussion panel with Ruslan Azimov (Chechen university student), Angélique Pépin (from Amnesty International) and members from France’s Chechen Solidarity Association will follow the movie.
