Demonstration in Moscow in Memory of Aslan Maskhadov
On March 17th, members of the Anti-War Club organized a demonstration for the sixth anniversary of Chechen Republic of Ichkeria’s 3rd President, Aslan Maskhadov’s death, and demanded the return of his body to his family.
The demonstration was held between 16.00 and 17.00 hours in front of the Griboyedov Monument in Moscow. The protestors reminded everyone that Aslan Maskhadov was a peaceful leader and he did everything possible to stop the Russian-Chechen war. The participants held photos of Aslan Maskhadov and some placards which demanded that the Russian authorities deliver the body of Aslan Maskhadov to his family.
