Japanese Embassy in Georgia will Help Residents of Pankisi
The website Gruzya Online has reported that representatives of the Japanese Embassy in Georgia recently visited the Pankisi valley and met with residents of the area.
According to Koba Maisuradze, the head of the Akhmeta district, the Japanese diplomats have pledged assistance in improving the living conditions of the local population in Pankisi valley.
“The Japanese government, despite problems in their own country, continues to assist us. The Japanese Embassy met with local residents and promised to help repair their roads and water supply,” said Maisuradze.
Koba Maisuradze pointed out that financial support from the Japanese government to the residents of Pankisi will amount to 250 thousand GEL (around 100 thousand Euros).
