The Chechen Hearth
The website Ichkeria.info has reported that prominent Chechen poet, Ilman Yusupov’s book “The Chechen Hearth” (Den tjetjenska härden) has been published in Sweden.
The book contains a collection of Ilman Yusupov’s poems which were written about different themes: war-torn Chechnya, Chechen people, his life in Sweden where he found shelter, the meaning of human existence, his mother as a symbol of kindness, the problem of good and evil, humanity, and love for children.
The translation of Ilman Yusupov’s poems into the Swedish language was undertaken by the famous Swedish artist, Jan Wolf-Watz.
The presentation of the book “The Chechen Hearth” is scheduled for early September 2011 and it will take place in one of the city libraries in Stockholm.
