Mass Abduction in Chechnya
The website KavkazCenter has claimed that 22 people were abducted by thugs from the pro-Russian regime in the Russian occupied Chechen Republic of Ichkeria over the last two days.
According to the reports, on June 21 armed Kadyrovites organized punishment operations in the villages of Avtury, Geldygen, and Kurchaloy, as well as the town of Argun. As a result 21 young male civilians were abducted.
On June 22, armed Kadyrovites abducted a 16-year old girl in Stariy-Achkoy while accusing her of being a “terrorist”.
The fate and whereabouts of the hostages are unknown.
KavkazCenter writes that the reason for the mass abductions may be related to eight young men from the village of Geldygen who went to the mountains to join the Chechen mujahedeen. Earlier, at least three Chechen families of mujahids had been evicted from the village and were subjected to severe beatings and torture.
