Mamed Khalidov will Train Children in Łomża
World champion Mixed Martial Artist (MMA), Mamed Khalidov will train Chechen and Polish children in a project called “Q Integration-2”.
On March 19th, Fundacja Ocalenie (Foundation Salvation) organized a press conference at the School of Agribusiness (Wyższa Szkoła Agrobiznesu w Łomży) in Łomża, Poland. More than 300 people, including Chechen refugees and Polish inhabitants of the city attended the event. Dorota Parzymies, president of the Fundacja Ocalenie; Malika Abdulvakhabova, vice president of the Fundacja Ocalenie; Rafał Rogala, head of the Office for Foreigners in Poland and Chechen athlete Mamed Khalidov were among the speakers. During the press conference, the foundation presented their new project “Q Integration-2” which is funded by the European Refugee Fund and Polish state budget. The project aims to integrate Polish and Chechen youths through sports, specifically the popular sport of mixed martial arts. Training is scheduled to start soon in the School of Agribusiness’ sports hall, and will be held twice a week. Mamed Khalidov will lead the training sessions and will also conduct workshops. In addition to the MMA classes, the project will also include theatre and break dancing classes for children and young people. Participation in the classes is free.
