World Refugee Day Celebrated in Poland
The Polish television channel TVP has reported that on June 17, a festival was organized in Lublin, Poland in honor of World Refugee Day.
According to the information, “Lublin Volunteer Center Association” (Stowarzyszenia Centrum Wolontariatu Lublin) organized a festival for World Refugee Day, under the slogan “Let Us Be Together in the Way” (Bądźmy razem w drodze). During the festival, the “Stars of Chechnya” children’s dance group took the stage and small concerts were given. At the event, refugees from different countries, including the Russian occupied Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, opened booths to promote their culture, as well as present photo exhibitions. At the Chechen booth, guests had the opportunity to taste traditional Chechen cuisine.
