France Deports Aslan Dangayev
The Montauban office of Education without Borders (Réseau Education Sans Frontières – 82) reported that Chechen asylum seeker, Aslan Dangayev has been deported from France to Russia.
According to the information, the Montauban office of Education without Borders received information that Aslan Dangayev’s name was on the boarding list of flight AF7793, which was to depart from Toulouse Blagnac Airport to Paris’ Charles de Gaulle Airport and then from Paris to Moscow on November 7. About 30 activists from the organization gathered in Toulouse Blagnac Airport to protest the deportation. However, French police blocked the activists and put Aslan on the plane. It is known that the plane left Charles de Gaulle Airport at 12:45am with Aslan onboard.
Education without Borders members believe that Aslan Dangayev’s life will be in danger in Russia, and they denounce the deportation because the Chechen asylum seeker was waiting for the final decision from the Appeal Board about his case. The fate of the Chechen asylum seeker is unknown at the moment.
Recall that the Montauban office of Education without Borders had prevented Aslan Dangayev’s deportation in October and started a campaign for his liberty. However, since then Aslan was in a deportation center.
