“Welcome Yankee” Wins An Award in the United States

Welcome Yankee, a short film about a Chechen refugee couple, was presented at the 7th Annual Red Rock Film Festival in the US state of Utah and won an award.

On the other hand, last week the film was presented at the Right Steps International Film Festival in Kharkiv, Ukraine and received a lot of interest. Those who are interested in the film have an opportunity to watch it at these upcoming festivals:

November 17: Ayvalik International Film Festival (Ayvalik, Turkey)
November 20-27: 25th International Istanbul Short Film Festival (Istanbul, Turkey)
December 5-8: 25th Aguilar Short Film Festival (Aguilar de campoo/Espagne)
December 6-14: Nile’s International Film Festival (Kampala/Ouganda)
January 15-24, 2014: Festival du Film Court Francophone de Vaulx-en-Velin (Vaulx-en-Velin, France)

Let’s remind you that Welcome Yankee has been presented at 33 different film festivals and 4 noncompetitive screenings over the year.
