Extradited Chechen Asylum Seekers on Hunger Strike
Local sources have reported that two Chechen asylum seekers are on hunger strikes in protest of their extradition from Germany to Poland.
According to the information, at the end of 2013, two male Chechen asylum seekers and their families were extradited from the federal state of Brandenburg in Germany to Poland due to the Dublin-II regulation. After being delivered to the Polish authorities, they were kept into a closed detention center in the city of Kętrzyn. To protest their extradition and their detention, the two men are on hunger strikes for 10 days.
