Chechnya: Torture in ORB-2
Local sources have once again proved that “confessions” are being made under conditions of torture in the Russian occupied Chechen Republic of Ichkeria.
On March 3, at 4:00am, about 15 armed bandits from the pro-Moscow regime organized a punishment operation in the village of Assinovskaya within the Sunzha district of Chechnya. Kadyrovites broke into one house where they took Imran Karsamov, born in 1991, and Yunus Madaev, born in 1994, from their beds; they didn’t even let two young men get dressed before they took them away. On the same day, as it is known, at least two of their friends, Adam Machukaev and Beslan Movsarov were also abducted. All of them were taken to the “Operational Investigative Bureau’s 2nd Search Department” (ORB-2). Kadyrovites asked the young men to confess to giving aid to members of the Chechen National Liberation Movement. When they couldn’t get the answer that they were looking for, they started to beat the young men. According to the testimony of victims, Kadyrovites beat them, used electric shock and water torture. As a result, the young men couldn’t resist anymore and they admitted to everything that was asked. The young men refused their previous statement due to the torture that they faced, but they are still in the prison called Grozny No.1 with many other innocent civilians.
It was learnt that it isn’t incidental that the Karsamov and Madaev families were chosen, because in September 2013, Kemran Karsamov, Makhmud Madaev and Yusup Ektumaev were sentenced by a so-called court due to their participation in the Chechen National Liberation Movement. For this reason, the pro-Moscow regime continue to persecute these families.
