Prime Minister Zakayev Participates to Funeral of French Philosopher
This Friday, on November 13, many intellectuals and politicians, including the Prime Minister of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, Mr Akhmed Zakayev, were present under dome of the crematorium of Père Lachaise Cemetary in Paris to show their respects to the world-known Frencg philosopher André Glucksmann.
In the crowded funeral room, Prime Minister Akhmed Zakayev took the front seat to pay his last tribute to “great friend of the Chechen people” together with other politicians and intellectuals, including former President of the French Republic Nicolas Sarkozy, French Culture and Communication Minister Fleur Pellerin, former French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner, former French Secretary of State for Human rights Rama Yade, well-known French philosopher Bernard-Henri Levy, film maker Michel Hazanavicius and his actress wife Bérénice Bejo.
The Chechen delegation headed by the Prime Minister Akhmed Zakayev presented their condolences to Glucksmann family and left there some bouquets of red roses.
After the sad event, Paris shocked with brutal terrorist attacks, however Mr Prime Minister had left Paris in safe about 2 hours before the attacks.
