They went together to the pro-Russian regime’s central registry office in Grozny to retrieve documents on his birth and residence in Chechnya. He was asked to return the following day. So, Khuseyn went to the Achkoy-Martan district to spend the night at his friend’s place. On January 15, the two young men had to go once again to the central registry office in Grozny. At 9.00am, they were waiting at the bus stop on the road leading to Grozny, but when the eyewitness realized that his cigarettes were finished, he crossed the street to buy more. When he left the shop, he saw that some unknown men in black clothes put Khuseyn into a black “Lada-Priora” car without plates and drove away to an unknown destination. There was also a middle aged woman at the bus stop and when the eyewitness returned to the bus stop, she apologized for not being able to stop them.

The eyewitness said that after the incident Khuseyn’s mobile phone was turned off and he couldn’t reach his friend. Then, he decided to call Khuseyn’s mother who lives in Norway and explained her son’s abduction.

Khuseyn Ilyasov’s brother was a member of the Chechen National Liberation Movement. In 2003, he was killed during an uneven battle with the Russian invaders and became shaheed (inshaAllah). But the oppression against his family didn’t end then. Thus, his family moved to Norway and asked for asylum. Khuseyn continued to live in the Russian occupied Chechen Republic of Ichkeria until 2008, but then he couldn’t resist the unlawful methods of the Russian invaders and pro-Moscow regime’s armed bandits anymore, so he followed his family’s route and arrived in Norway. However, he needed to prove that he is a Chechen and that he belongs to the Ilyasov family. He asked his friend about the situation in Chechnya and explained that he needed documents so he was willing to come back. His friends repeated the usual words and guaranteed that there was no more war and it was safe to return. When Khuseyn Ilyasov returned, he was abducted immediately, only because his brother defended his homeland against the Russian invaders.

The fate and whereabouts of Khuseyn Ilyasov are unknown at the moment.

*Text was written by Waynakh Online and edited by Michael Capobianco

Local sources have reported that a young male Chechen, who returned from Norway to retrieve personal legal documents, was abducted in the Russian occupied Chechen Republic of Ichkeria.

[3

post-10104","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-news
["GET
