After an international campaing<\/a> in order to avoid the Swedish Migration Board\u2019s decision on the deportation of 4 year old sick Chechen girl Jasmin Ibragimova, her situation reconsidered by the Swedish authorities and Ibragimova family<\/a> is granted residence permit.<\/p>\n

Recall that Swedish Migration Board had decided the deportation of Chechen asylum seeker, 4 year old Jasmin Ibragimova who suffers from a rare illness called “Hydrocephalus” (water on the brain). The expulsion decision had been met with wide criticism in Sweden and in the international area.<\/p>\n

“Many organizations from different countries like France, Germany and Turkey involved to the case and they wrote a letter<\/a> to the Swedish government and to the royal family, they asked to reconsider the decision. Thus, shortly before midsummer a new decision came from the Migration Board that the family is obtained a residence permit in Sweden. It was great to get this news. I spoke to Jasmin’s mother on the phone and she sounded really so excited, you should heard how she had been crying. We are incredibly grateful for all the support and commitment,” said<\/a> the family’s legal representative, Ingrid Schi\u00f6ler.<\/p>\n

Today, four-year old Jasmin Ibragimov feels herself a little better. Her father’s death hit her hard mentally. “Now it seems that she has regained her energy and started to laugh a little.
