{"id":2701,"date":"2009-09-06T00:41:50","date_gmt":"2009-09-05T21:41:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.waynakh.com\/eng\/?p=2701"},"modified":"2009-09-06T00:42:19","modified_gmt":"2009-09-05T21:42:19","slug":"18th-anniversary-of-the-independence-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.waynakh.com\/eng\/2009\/09\/18th-anniversary-of-the-independence-day\/","title":{"rendered":"18th Anniversary of the Independence Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Today,\u00a0 it is the 18th anniversary of the day when Chechen nation restored independent statehood of Chechen Republic Ichkeria.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On September 6 1991, the All-National Congress of the Chechen People (OKChN) declared the national sovereignty of the Chechen Republic Ichkeria. And September 6, was marked as the Chechen state\u2019s Independence Day and a National Holiday since 1991.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The first large-scale celebration of\u00a0 Independence Day took place in 1992. It involved a military parade and special concert in one of the Chechen capital\u2019s sports stadiums.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Independence Day of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria was even marked in September 1995, despite the fact that a large number of Russian soldiers and officers of various law enforcement agencies were located in Grozny.
