{"id":6005,"date":"2010-07-22T12:15:55","date_gmt":"2010-07-22T09:15:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.waynakh.com\/eng\/?p=6005"},"modified":"2010-07-22T12:15:55","modified_gmt":"2010-07-22T09:15:55","slug":"czech-authorities-to-debate-borchashvilis-asylum-request-again","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.waynakh.com\/eng\/2010\/07\/czech-authorities-to-debate-borchashvilis-asylum-request-again\/","title":{"rendered":"Czech Authorities to Debate Borchashvili&#8217;s Asylum Request Again"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.parlamentnilisty.cz\/zpravy\/170683.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">ParlamentniListy.cz<\/a>, a news service of elected  representatives of the Czech Republic, Czech authorities will again discuss whether to grant asylum to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.waynakh.com\/eng\/?s=Borchashvili&amp;x=6&amp;y=7\" target=\"_blank\">Timur Borchashvili<\/a>, an ethnic Chechen from Georgia whose previous application was rejected and whom Senator Jarom\u00edr \u0160t\u011btina has helped hide in the Czech Republic to prevent his expulsion.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Czech Interior Ministry Wednesday issued a card of an asylum seeker to him on 21 July 2010, Wednesday, thus legalising his stay in the country, \u0160t\u011btina said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;We gave the card of an asylum seeker to him Wednesday,&#8221; said the Czech Interior Ministry&#8217;s Asylum and Migration Policy Department head Tom\u00e1\u0161 Hai\u0161man and confirmed the information.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Senator Jarom\u00edr \u0160t\u011btina said the ministry extended the deadline for its decision on Borchashvili&#8217;s asylum application until December 31, 2010.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/www.waynakh.com\/tr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/passport-and-asylum-seeker-card.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"260\" height=\"148\" \/>The authorities twice decided not to grant asylum to Borchashvili, a citizen of Georgia, in the past. He applied for Czech asylum in 2007 and in 2009, said \u0160t\u011btina. Borchashvili appealed the ministry&#8217;s negative decision in court.
