Five singers from the famous female band “Ensemble Aznach”, from Georgia’s Pankisi Valley, will begin a small European concert tour in December 2011. <\/p>\n
The Chechen (Kist) band, “Ensemble Aznach” performs the Chechen Zikr, the traditional prayer ritual, deeply melancholic melodies, as well as dancing and working songs. The singers use garmon, dechk-pandir, chonguri and mandalina. The band is well known by the international arena and has participated in many international competitions and festivals. Now they have made arrangements for their European tour. The concerts are being organized with financial support from the German Foreign Office and the Goethe Institute. Makvala Margoshvili, artistic director and vocals; Manana Alkhanachvili, vocals; Rusudan Phareulidze, vocals; Nato Mutoshvili, vocals; Darejani Margoshvili, vocals; and Natia Idoidze, vocals, will be on the emsemble’s tour.<\/p>\n
