Chechen Prisoners Subjected to Mass Beatings
Local sources have reported that about 50 Chechen prisoners were beaten by armed Russian riot police on July 21 in FBU KP3, a concentration camp in the Volgograd region of the Russian Federation.
It was reported that Chechen prisoners were protesting against the confinement of two Chechen inmates in a solitary cell with abnormally high temperatures, which posed a threat to their lives. It must be noted that the extremely high temperatures are now registered all over Russia. As a punishment for the protests, about 50 Chechen inmates were thrown into an internal camp prison after severe beatings by Russian police. They were stripped naked, kicked, punched and hit with iron bars and riot batons. Some inmates were disabled and on the crutches; they were beaten just as severely as the other prisoners.
