Secret Meeting with Kadyrov’s Delegation in Germany
Berlin Interior Senator, Ehrhart Körting from the Social Democratic Party of Germany (Sozialdemokratische Partei Deutschlands – SDP) held secret meetings in Berlin with representatives of the puppet regime from the Russian occupied Chechen Republic of Ichkeria.
According to Germany’s leading magazine “Der Spiegel,” last week a five member delegation, which was heading by Ramzan Kadyrov’s propaganda chief Shamsail Saraliev, visited Berlin for two days.
The delegation was greeted warmly at the Foreign Ministry Office as they publicized various events in Chechnya.
Neither Senator Ehrhart Körting nor his press office gave any answers to journalist’s questions about what was discussed with the Senator and representatives from the brutal puppet regime in Chechnya. The Russian embassy in Germany stated that it was a meeting about the fight against terrorism.
On the other hand, well known Russian human rights activist, Svetlana Gannushkina said that the meeting was an attempt to find legitimacy in the West. She pointed out that activists have repeatedly warned German authorities about the extrajudicial punishments, abductions, torturing of detainees, raping of women and so forth, in Chechnya. According to Mrs. Gannushkina, some of the German deputies are embarrassed about the meetings. However, some German authorities sincerely hope that they can speak with Kadyrov and teach him the rules of democracy.
