Teenaged Girl Hangs Herself in Chechnya
Local sources have reported that a 15-year old Chechen girl hung herself with her headscarf.
According to the information, on March 31, the girl took her own life in the village of Shelkovskaya, which is within the Shelkovsky district of the Russian occupied Chechen Republic of Ichkeria. The teenager hanged herself with a head scarf in the garden in front of the home she shared with her mother. The girl’s body was found by neighbors.
Relatives and neighbors say that they do not know anything about the motivation behind this tragic incident. However, an anonymous neighbor claimed that the girl had been raped by a member of the armed forces of the puppet regime in her occupied homeland.
