Subject: Solidarity with France
Mr President,
We, the government of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, are shocked by the “horrific shooting” against the French satirical weekly “Charlie Hebdo” in Paris.
We strongly condemn this brutal and inhuman attack. We, the Chechens, who lost dozens of journalists and human rights activists on the way of freedom and democracy, fully understand your pain. In this difficult moment, our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of this monstrous attack and the French people.
Mr President, please accept our solidarity with the families those who were killed or injured in the attack, and French people; as well as the assurance of my highest consideration.
Akhmed Zakayev
Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria
