Good News for Chechen Refugees in Turkey
Medet Unlu, the Honorary Consul of Chechen Republic Ichkeria in Turkey published a statement about the visa process of Chechen refugees in Turkey.
According to statement, for a long time Chechen refugees in Turkey were waiting a solution to their biggest problem which is residence permit. The Honorary Consulship of Ichkeria was working on this issue and finally they could got a good result. The Head Office of Turkish Police accepted to whole applications about “visa” for Chechen refugees. With this decision Chechen refugees may stay in Turkey during one year. Turkish authorities explained that Chechen refugees have temporary residence permits with this decision, but they don’t need to worry about it because after the end of this period, they will renew to visas of Chechen refugees. Medet Unlu presented his and Chechen nation’s thankfulness for this decision of Turkey at his statement.
