A New Movie: “We are All Called Milana”
The award winning French film director Romain Goupil is shooting for his latest movie: “Je m’appelle tous Milana (We’re all called Milana)” and a Chechen girl plays in as Milana.
Roman Goupil’s latest project is about illegal immigration. The subject of his movie is problems of illegal ailens through the eyes of children in Sevres (Hauts-de-Seine), a commune in the southwestern suburbs of Paris.
The movie “Je m’appelle tous Milana (We’re all called Milana)” tells to story of a woman who is her 70s ages in 2067; which had happened sixty years earlier.
Two adults, Valeria Brunu Tedeschi and Hippolyte Girardot are at the central roles of the movie. But the real stars of the movie are a dozen children from various foreign nationals between 8-12 years old. One of these children is an eleven years old refugee Chechen girl who plays the Milana character in the movie.
According to scenario, when she was a child, that 70s aged woman under threat of deportation together with one of her friend’s family; because of their legal residing problems. So the children took an oath to do everything for stopping to deportation, and set up a plan to hang together forever.
It isn’t a militarist attempt, said Goupil to AFP (Agency France Press). “It isn’t a movie like betrothed, militarist or denunciated. I just wanted to highlight for friendship in a group of friends who are fighting against what was decided by the adults” said Romain Goupil.
“From the moment that i take the camera, any movies is innocent form e. I want to bein a relation to the world. I don’t illustrates about politics: i don’t like this kind of cinema and i don’t do it” says Goupil and adds: “I can be a militant but I do not think to any film could change many things. I do not want to use a film for thrusting to viewers, that I believe essential.”
“Je m’appelle tous Milana (We’re all called Milana)” is filming in a manufactoring of Sevres and should be relase in the second part of 2010 at theatres.
