Murder Suspect in France Arrested
The French media has preferred to present the high profile assassination of Abdulla Erzanukayev as a basic murder and reported that a suspect has been arrested.
According to the reports, on May 6-7, in Nice, two minutes from midnight, a 35-year old Georgian shot Chechen refugee Abdulla Erzanukayev and his Armenian friend with his long rifle 22-caliber pistol. A neighbor called the police after hearing the gunshots. When the police arrived on the scene, the flat’s door was open, leftovers were on the table and the television was still on. The two dead bodies were lying there. The police viewed images from video cameras near the crime scene and determined that the suspect drove away. On May 7, police arrested the suspect in the street when he was walking with his two children, aged 5 and 7 years. The Georgian man was jailed; however he did not explain his reasons for committing the murders.
