Punishment Operations Against Former Resistance Fighters Continue
Local sources have reported that two male civilians were abducted in the Russian occupied Chechen Republic of Ichkeria.
On July 19, Russian invaders and their armed local collaborators organized a punishment operation in town of Argun. They abducted a Chechen man, born in 1965 from his house. The hostage is accused of being a former member of “Argun Dzhamaat”, which stood against Russian invaders in Chechnya, in January and February of 2003.
On July 20, the local branch of Russian FSB organized a punishment operation in the Achkoi-Martan district of the Russian occupied Chechen Republic of Ichkeria. A male resident from the village of Samashki, born in 1978 was abducted. The hostage was accused of fighting in the resistance against Russian invaders in January and February of 1995.
The fate and whereabouts of the hostages are unknown.
