Abduction in Vedeno
Local sources have reported that a male civilian was abducted in the Russian occupied Chechen Republic of Ichkeria.
According to the information, on August 25, Russian Interior Ministry soldiers and the pro-Russian Chechen regime’s armed bandits organized a joint punishment operation in the village of Serzhen-Yurt within the Vedeno district of the Russian occupied Chechen Republic of Ichkeria. As a result of their criminal activity, a male villager, born in 1953, was abducted from his house. The hostage was accused of providing food and transportation to a group of Chechen resistance fighters in March of 2006.
The fate and whereabouts of the hostage are unknown.
