Local sources have reported that a group of Chechen refugees gathered in front of the Swedish Parliament building in Stockholm to protest the decision to extradite a former resistance fighter.

On April 28, the Chechen community protested the decision to extradite Ayni Aydamirov and asked for his release from the detention center. It is believed that if his extradition from Sweden to Russia is realized, it is equal to signing his death warrant.

Ayndi Aydamirov, born in 1967, was arrested on May 16, 2012 and since then he has been in a deportation center awaiting his deportation. Ayndi is a former resistance fighter from the Chechen National Liberation Movement. He fought against the Russian invaders under the command of well-known field commander, Khamzat Gelayev. However, he was injured and forced to leave his homeland, the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria with his family due to serious threats against his life. First, they went to Azerbaijan and then arrived in Sweden through Turkey in 2007. Their asylum request was ultimately denied.
