Sept. 2008 – Present: Retired and part time Lecturer at Princess Sumaya University for Technology, Amman, Jordan.

Aug. 1968 – Jan. 1971: Production Engineer at” Rauland Division of Zenith Radio Corp.”, Melrose Park, IL. Coordinated work of production, quality control, and production engineering personnel in improving and meeting the objectives of management and production. In the process supervised ten technicians and wrote daily reports to the manager of production engineering.
Oct. 1966 – June 1968: Electronics Technician at “Rauland Division of Zenith Radio Corporation”, Melrose Park, IL. Performed tests and collected data to evaluate exhaust aging and gun emission of color television picture tubes.

HIS HONORS AND AWARDS:

He received the “Union Electric Co.” Fellowship for Graduate Students, Aug. 1980-May 1981. He was selected as the Outstanding Graduate Student Teacher for the 1981- 1982 academic year in the Electrical Engineering Department at the University of Missouri-Columbia.

HIS MEMBERSHIP IN PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATIONS:

Member of IEEE’s Industrial Applications Society, Power Electronics Society and member of American Society for Engineering Education.
Member of the Honor Society for Electrical Engineering (ETA KAPPA NU).
Member of the National Honor Society for Public Affairs and Administration “Pi Alpha Alpha” ΠAA.

HIS THESIS TITLES:

Master’s Thesis: “Lightning Protection for the Generator of a Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine”
Ph.D. Dissertation: “Harmonic Reduction Using Gate Turn- Off Thyristors in Static VAR Compensators”.

HIS POSITIONS in CHECHNYA RELATED ORGANIZATIONS:

President of “Chechen Ingush Society of America” from 1993 to 1998.
President of “Congress of Chechen International Organizations” from 1995 to 2001.
President of “World Chechen Congress” from Oct. 2001 to Nov. 2002.
Vice President of “World Chechen Congress” from Nov. 2002 to Present.

HIS ACTIVITIES RELATED CHECHNYA:

1. Testified as an expert on Chechen affairs at the Congressional hearings held by the Helsinki Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe (CSCE) of the US Congress on January 19, 1995.
2. Presented a Lecture about the war in Chechnya at the “Center for Strategic and International studies (CSIS)” in Washington D.C. in 1995.
3. Participated as a panelist about the war in Chechnya at the “Carnegie Endowment for Peace” in Washington D.C.
4. Gave a speech about the war in Chechnya at the “Heritage Foundation” in Washington D.C. in 1995.
5. Gave Lectures about the war in Chechnya at over 50 Universities and Islamic centers in the U.S.A, Canada, Poland, Lithuania, Turkey, Azerbyjan, Kazakhstan, Denmark, Belgium, Great Britain, and South Africa. Harvard, Brown, George Washington and Syracuse Universities in the East, University of Minnesota in the North, Georgia Tech. in the South and University of California and San Diego University in the West, Pittsburgh and Pennsylvania State Universities in the mid west. . The Islamic Society of North America, The Islamic Center of Toronto, The Human Concern International at Ottawa, Canada, The Islamic Center at Columbus, Ohio, The Islamic Center at Montreal, Canada, the Islamic Center of Pittsburgh, Pa.
6. Held many Conferences and gave many press interviews on the war in Chechnya in Turkey, Jordan, Lithuania, Poland, Denmark, Canada and the USA.
7. Presided over the “World Chechen Congress conference” convened to seek peaceful ways and means to end the War in Chechnya, held in Copenhagen, Denmark from Oct.28-29, 2002.
8. Co- chaired the joint conference organized by “Delegates of the European Parliament”, “Pax Christi Flanders” and the” World Chechen Congress” held in Antwerp, Belgium from Dec. 11-12, 2003 to find a peaceful resolution of the war in Chechnya.
9. Presented a Lecture at the conference held at the Brunei Gallery lecture theatre at the school for Oriental and African studies at the University of London titled “Chechnya after Maskhadov”, Nov. 25, 2005.
10. Presented a Lecture at the Conference held at the European Parliament in Brussels, Be. Titled “Countering violence and creating Justice in the Caucasus”, organized by the Green-EFA Party in the European Parliament and the World Chechen Congress, on Dec.8, 2005.
