Zamir Yushaev
The talented Chechen painter Zamir Yushaev was born in Khasavyurt in Dagestan on the 22nd of April 1965 in a family where the love for painting was inherited to the children from father, an amateur painter.
He had his preliminary education in painting at the Arts Collage in the city of Makhachkala. Then he served in the Soviet army. He studied in the Repin Institute in St. Petersburg in between 1987 and 1992. Later he continued his education in the German city of Leipzig (1992-1997). Currently he lives in Germany and works there. In 2002 Zamir Yushaev won the snow sculpture competition and displayed his talent also as a sculptor.
