EU Condemns Murder of Estemirova (Video)
On July 16,2009 The European Commission condemned the killing of Natalya Estemirova.

Following the death of Natalya Estemirova, the European Commission presentes its condolences to the family and friends of Miss Estemirova and also to the members of her organisation.
Christiane Hohmann, EC Spokesperson for External, explaines that the Commission calls on the authorities to investigate this murder and also to bring those who are responsible for this to court. She adds that the Commission remains very concerned about the situation faced by human rights defenders in Russia and the overall respect for human rights defenders in the Northern Caucasus.
