Two Civilians Injured in Landmine Blast
According to sources in Chechnya, on May 27, a landmine explosion has occured in the South of Chechnya and injured two shepherds.
On May 27, around 16.00 hours, an unknown type landmine blew up in the mountain pastures of Chechnya’s Achkoi-Martan district. Two shepherds who were grazing the sheeps on this area, were hospitalized with shrapnel wounds.
It is foreseen that Russian landmines has spread throughout Chechnya and more than 25 thousand hectars of land covered with landmines.
Since 1994, more than 700 people, includes 131 children, killed and more than 2 thousand people were wounded by landmine explosions in Chechnya.
