Two Youngs Injured by a Landmine Blast
On August 23, in the foothills of the Urus-Martan district of Chechnya, a landmine exploded, injuring two young construction workers.
According to preliminary data, two young men were working on the road in the mountainous and wooded area, ten kilometres away from the Rushni-Chu village. At around 6.00 pm, a land mine exploded and two young men, one 23 years of age and the other 24 years of age, were injured. One of them was severely injured and is still hospitalized. The second one was only slightly wounded.
According to unofficial numbers, since the beginning of the Russian occupation in Chechnya, 700 civilians have been killed, including 131 children, and 2300 civilians have been wounded.
