France Deporting a Chechen Family
The French human rights organization “La Cimade” has sent an urgent e-mail about the deportation of a Chechen family in Nimes, France.
According to the information, a mother and her five children were arrested in the afternoon of January 10th and placed in the detention center (Cra) in Nimes. The children are between 4 months old and 12 years old. However, during the arrest at the hotel, the father was taken to the hospital because of his poor health. The Chechen family’s asylum application was rejected by French authorities and it is expected that today they will be deported to Poland where they first arrived.
