We present you a poem from 10 year old Chechen girl Zalina Musaeva.

Homeland

I wish to remember those
Who bravely fell in war,
And those who, together with the heroes of Chechnya
Died for their motherland.

Those who don’t begrudge their own lives,
Those who stand behind their walls.
And who let nobody offend us,
Or our mothers.

They deserve the highest glory,
They are worthy of honour.
Inexplicable disappointment.
The reward for resilience and revenge.

We remember them with pride,
Their courage, their grace,
We won’t forget their names
And we speak of them proudly!
