Magomed Mutsolgov, head of the Ingush human rights organization “MASHR”, published a statement on his blog related to a kidnapping case which occurred on December 30.

The statement was written by Musa Khamkhoev, whose son was abducted by local security forces in the Ordzhonikidzevskaya settlement of the Sunzha district in Ingushetia.

According to the statement, on December 30, 2010, Adam Khamkhoev was visiting a friend at the Pliev family home, which is located at 31 Roza Lyuksemburg Street in Ordzhonikidzevskaya. At around 9:00pm, a group of armed and masked local security forces in military camouflages came to the house in armored vehicles. They cordoned the street and entered the house without showing any documents. They took Magomed Girikhanovich Pliev, born in 1987; Akhmed Girikhanovich Pliev, born in 1991; and Adam Musaevich Khamkhoev, born in 1985. They put bags on the hostage’s heads, placed them in the vehicles and drove them to an unknown destination. The following day the Pliev brothers were released, but the fate of Adam Khamkhoev is still unknown.

The Pliev brothers said that they were beaten and tortured while detained. Adam was kept in another room but they could still hear his screams.
