Protest Meeting in Finland
The press service of “The Organization of Former Prisoners of Russian Filtration Camps from the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria (OUFKL-ChRI)” has reported that a protest against the extradition of a Chechen refugee in Belgium, was held in Finland.
According to the report, on February 6, a protest which aimed to condemn the threat of extradition in Belgium against Chechen asylum seeker, Bislan Makhaev, was held in the Finnish capital, Helsinki. The Chechen diaspora in Finland and local human rights defenders participated in the protest. Vakha Banzhaev, the head of OUFKL-ChRI and Russian journalist Elena Maglevannya were among the protesters.
