Three Civilians Abducted in Chechnya
Local sources have reported that three male civilians were abducted in the Russian occupied Chechen Republic of Ichkeria.
According to the information, on August 14 Russian Interior Ministry soldiers conducted a punishment operation in the village of Elistanzhi within the Vedeno district. As a result, a male civilian, born in 1979 was abducted from his home. The hostage was accused of providing food to a group of the Chechen national liberation front.
On August 15, Russian Interior Ministry soldiers and the pro-Russian Chechen regime’s armed bandits organized joint punishment operations within the Leninsky district of Grozny as well as the Achkoi-Martan district. As a result of these operations, a male civilian born in 1980 was abducted from his home in Savodoe Koltso. Another male civilian, born in 1972 was abducted from his home in the village of Samashki. Both of the hostages are accused of providing food to a group consisting of members of the Chechen national liberation front since May 2012.
The fate and whereabouts of the hostages are unknown at the moment.
