Russian Agents who Killed Chechens in Istanbul Uncovered

The Turkish daily newspaper “Haber Turk” has published a special report which contains details on the recent assassination of three Chechen asylum seekers in Turkey as well as photos of the Russian agents involved.

According to the special report, at least 8 Russian agents were involved in the assassination of three Chechen asylum seekers in Istanbul, Turkey on September 16. The assassinations were carried out by three different task forces. It is believed that each task force was made up of two or three members.

Nadim Ayupov, who organized the assassinations, arrived in Istanbul, Turkey on September 1. He was welcomed by members of the second task force, who were responsible for gathering information, and was taken to a hotel in Sultanahmet, Istanbul. On September 2, another Russian agent, Alexandr Zharkov (Garkov) who is also one of the organizers of the assasinations, arrived in Istanbul. Zharkov settled down in another hotel. On September 4, Ayupov and Zharkov met at a tram station in Gulhane, Istanbul. According to video recordings , Zharkov went to the station first, and then two minutes later Zharkov arrived. Both agents looked around carefully to be sure that they hadn’t been followed.

Members of the first task force, Nadim Ayupov and Alexandr Zharkov planned the assassination; the second task force collected information; and the third task force assassinated the three asylum seekers. It was learned that Maria M, a member of the second task force; and a member of third task force, a Russian agent of Chechen origin, Ziyaeddin M (allegedly Ramzan Kadyrov’s one of the close aides, “Ziyauddin Mahaev“) are married. When Maria M arrived in Turkey, she had a bare head; however, when she left Turkey with Ziyaeddin, she was seen with her hair covered so as not to attract attention. All three Russian agents, Nadim Ayupov, Maria M and Ziyaeddin M left Turkey one day after the assassinations. There is still no information about the whereabouts of Alexandr Zharkov, as it seems he has mysteriously disappeared.

Two different cars were used on the day of the assassinations. An Opel Astra car occupied by Zharkov and Ayupov, and a black Ford Mondeo which was used by the hitmen, met in Fatih, Istanbul. Zharkov and Ayupov’s car was parked at the scene of the murders in Zeytinburnu, Istanbul. A little bit later, the hitmen’s car arrived. The three assassins started to walk around and at 2:42pm, two of the hitmen shot the three Chechens. Later the third hitman got out of the car and shot the three Chechens again, who at this point were laying in the street. Then the car, with the hitmen inside, left the crime scene. They went to Gungoren and left the car there. Zharkov and Ayupov took them into their car. According to video records, the car first stopped in Beyoglu, then in Sisli. On their route, the hitmen exited the car one by one at different locations. Finally, the driver of Zharkov and Ayupov’s car went to a car-wash. An eyewitness told Turkish police that the driver was barely able to speak Turkish. The police confirmed that 9mm guns were used in the murders, yet they couldn’t establish the models.

First Russian Agent: Nadim Ayupov

A member of first task force in the murders is Nadim Ayupov. He came to Turkey via Istanbul on September 1. He was the planner of the assassinations. His photos show that he is a Nazi fan. He left Turkey one day after the murders via Sabiha Gokcen Airport in Istanbul.

Second Russian Agent: Maria M.

In the photo, she is with Nadim Ayupov. Her mission was gathering information. Maria M is the wife of Chechen hitman Ziyaeddin M.

Third Russian Agent: Alexandr Zharkov

He was a member of the first task force like Ayupov. He arrived in Turkey two weeks before the murders, on September 2. Turkish police couldn’t establish any records which show he left Turkey.

Fourth Russian Agent (Hitman): Ziyaeddin M.

In the photo, Ziyaeddin M, who is of Chechen origin, is taking care of his wife Maria M’s passport at the airport. He left Turkey with his wife one day after the assassination.
