The members of Organizing Committe of “Free Caucasus” organization did a meeting and declared to exact date of “World Congress of Caucasus Diaspora”.
Isa Munayev, (from Chechnya) Chairman of “Free Caucasus”; his deputies Rusudan Giorgberidze (from Georgia) and Safar Sadiqi (from Azerbaijan); Ilyas Musayev, (from Chechnya) Chairman of Organizing Committe; Danish Professors Helen Krag and Karl Erik Foverskov, members of organizing committe participated to meeting in Herlen city of Denmark.
As a result of the meeting, the Orginizing Committe of “Free Caucasus” has decide to reschedule “World Congress of Caucasus Diaspora” on 19-20 February of 2010 in Denmark.
The reason for such a decision is recalling to 23rd and 25th February as tragic days for both Georgian and Chechen-Ingush people. 23rd of February is the day when entire Chechen and Ingush people were deported from their homelands to Siberia and Kazakhstan in 1944. 25th of February is the day when Georgian people lost their Governmental Independence in 1918.
