Chechen Athlets Sweep into Medals

Chechen sportsmen got successfull results at wrestling, judo and boxing in Austria, Belgium, Germany and Netherlands during March and early April 2010.

On March 6, athletes from Germany, Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, Serbia and Bulgaria attended to Annual International Danube Free Style Wrestling Tournament which was held in Germany’s Untergriesbach city in Bavaria region. In the tournament seven small Chechen athletes was fighted under management of Chechen coach Umar Chekarbiyev. The results of Chechen athletes:

25 kg category: Asadula Mirzhoev, Golden Medal
31 kg category: Abkhan Khakimov, Golden Medal
35 kg category: Rasul Radzhapov, Golden Medal
45kg category: Suren Barseghyan, 4th place
50 kg category: Yunadi Arsanaliyev, Golden Medal
55 kg category: Umar Yakubov, Silver Medal
58 kg category: Magomed Batyrov, Silver Medal

On March 20, Chechen wrestlers participated a free-style wrestling tournament in Wagna city of Austria. The results of Chechen athletes under management of coach Umar Chekarbiyev:

23 kg category: Rizvan Khakimov, Silver Medal
27 kg category: Ibragim Arsamerzayev, Golden Medal; Asadula Mirzhoev, Silver Medal
29 kg category: Ramzan Khakimov, Bronze Medal
32 kg category: Abkhan Khakimov, Golden Medal
35 kg category: Rasul Razhabov, Golden Medal
45 kg category: Suren Barseghyan, Silver Medal
50 kg category: Magomed Gamayev, Silver Medal
54 kg category: Yunadi Arsanaliyev, Golden Medal
58 kg category: Magomed Batyrov, Silver Medal

On March 21, a small international free style wrestling tournament among boys and girls between 6-17 years old organized in Kelmis, a municipality located in the Belgian province of Liège. More than 80 wrestlers from 10 various sport clubs of Belgium, Germany and Holland attended to games. The results of Chechen athletes at the tournament:

Age group “E” (6-8 years old)
21 kg category: Razhab Magomedov, Golden Medal; Mansur Vagabov, Silver Medal

Age group “C-D” (9-12 years old)
29 kg category: Abdurakhman Omarov, Golden Medal; Imam Umarov, Silver Medal
31 kg category: Salman Aliyev, Golden Medal; Khamid Umarov, Silver Medal
34 kg category: Suleiyman Shaipov, Golden Medal
42 kg category: Rakhman Magomedov, Silver Medal

Age group “A-B” (13-17 years old)
38 kg category: Said Rasulov, Golden Medal
46 kg category: Islam Saiydulayev, Golden Medal; Rakhim Magomedov, Bronze Medal
50 kg category: Magomed Said Omarov, Golden Medal; Talgat Gaziev, Bronze Medal; Ali Habashev, 4th place
54 kg category: Abdula Omarov, Golden Medal; Abdula Gaziev, Silver Medal
63 kg category: Abdul Habashev, Golden Medal; Shamil Dzhantemirov, 4th place
69 kg category: Bekhan Khalukhaev, Golden Medal

On March 21, Abkhan Khakimov became fourth time judo champion of Upper Austria state (Bundesländer) of Austria among boys. Let’s remind you Abkhan is also a wrestling champion in Austria at greco-romen and free styles.

On March 26-27
, Dornbirn city in Vorarlberg region of Austria hosted a boxing championship and three Chechen boxer participated it under the management of Magamed Khasuev in the name of Vienna Allfighters Sport Club. In the category of 57 kg, 19 years old Mikail Arzuev was became the champion. He won this title second time in a row. Our represant in 60 kg category was 22 years old Khamzat Musaev and won a silver medal. And the other Chechen boxer who was 20 years old Arbi Chakayev didn’t give a chance to his rivals and became champion.

On March 27, a wrestling championship was organized in Upper Austria state (Bundesländer) of Austria. Among the small Chechen wrestler, their coach Umar Chekarbiyev also attended the tournament and won a golden medal at 85 kg category. Here the results of Chechen wrestlers from various categories:

Golden medalists: Khamzat Radzhapov, Baysangur Musayev, Ibragim Arsamerzayev, Zelimkhan Musayev, Ramzan Khakimov, Akhmed Viskayev, Akhmed Arsayev, Rasul Radzhapov.

Silver medalists: Rizvan Khakimov, Lom-Ali Kasiyev, Asadula Mirzhayev, Magomed Arsayev, Magomed Gamayev, Magomed Batyrov, Artur Arsanaliyev, Umar Idrisov.

Bronze Medalist: Mansur Adamkhanov. And Movsar Adamkhanov occupied the 4th place.

On April 3-4, Netherland’s Utrecht city hosted 40th International Easter Greco-Romen Wrestling Tournament. Traditional Easter Tournament which takes in Netherlands, is one of the biggest competition in Europe for wrestling among children, juniors and youths from 8 to 20 years old. This year 508 athletes from 55 sport clubs in 19 European countries came to the tournament. Chechen wrestlers from different European countries also attended the tournament. However, Chechen referees Isa Gambulatov from Belgium and Aydemir Abdulayev from Netherlands worked perfectly. The results of Chechen wrestlers’ performances at the tournament:

8-12 years old Age Group:
28 kg category: Salman Aliyev, Golden Medal (Belgium – Coach: Aslan Albakov and Marat Dzeytov); Akhmed Ibragimov, 6th place (Belgium – Coach: Taus Askhabov)
31 kg category: Islam Kurkiyev, Golden Medal (Belgium); Abdurakhman Omarov, 4th place (Belgium); Magomed Dosayev, 5th place (Belgium)
38 kg category: Imam Vagabov, 5th place (Belgium);
42 kg category: Abubakar Tutaev, Golden Medal (Belgium); Ali Danaev, Silver Medal (Belgium); Yakub Tomov, 5th place

13-15 years old Age Group:
34 kg category: Zapir Yusupov, Golden Medal (Belgium); Dzhokhar Gambulatov, Silver Medal (Belgium)
42 kg category: Mukharbek Kurkiyev, 4th place (Belgium); Bilal Abdurashidov, 5th place (Belgium)
47 kg category: Khamzat Sangarayev, Bronze Medal (France); Abdul Tomov, 5th place (Belgium)
53 kg category: Abdul Omarov, Silver Medal (Belgium); Ilman Mukhtarov, Bronze Medal (France)

16-17 years old Age Group:
50 kg category: Mansur Itayev, 6th place (France)
54 kg category: Zelimkhan Dzeiytov, 4th place (Belgium)
69 kg category: Zelimkhan Umkhadzhiyev, Golden Medal (France); Ali Mantayev, 5th place (Belgium)
100 kg category: Magomed Yevloev, Golden Medal (Netherland – Coach: Said Akhmed Abdulayev)

18-20 years old Age Group:
60 kg category: Murtuz Magomedov, Silver Medal (Germany)
74 kg category: Magomed Chezhayev, 5th place (Netherland – Coach: Said Akhmed Abdulayev)
